lAboard the Texas we have several living history events each year which includes "Battle station 1944". During this event several types of weapons are on display and demonstrations are given as well. 

"Remember the USS Maine" is another living history event held in February. The event features an 1898 army camp showing both the uniforms and equipment used during that time. A memorial ceremony is held aboard the Texas for the USS Maine.

lWe have a 20 MM anti-aircraft gun mounted on a trailer that is taken to different events each year, “Wings over Houston” is one of them. This gun is set-up for the public to see and they can operate it. Well, that is short of firing it.
